Flash puts her arms around him and sits up slightly. "I wish we could have at least finished what we started," She mumbles.

Flash turns her cheek into his hand and traces her fingers over his collar bone. "I love you, Carter," She whispers and snuggled close to him.

Carter watched her closely and said quietly, "I love you too."

"I know Griffon is out," Flash whispers hugging herslef to his side. "That's why I haven't made Joe leave. Blake will be back," She mumbles and puts her head on his chest.

Flash touches his face lightly. "Its fine, Carter. Its over and done with," She whispers and watches him kissing his chest lightly.

Carter closed his eyes again for a moment, then looked at the ceiling.

"I don't want to sleep," Flash whispers and curls up against him.

"I'll get him, Mary. I promise you. I'm going to find him, and I'm going to stop him," Carter spoke the best he could.

Flash wipes her face lightly. "Shhhh," She whispers. "Don't strain yourself," She adds.

Carter fell silent and rubbed her side gently, not knowing what else to do.

Carter looked at her silently. He took her hand gently and whispered the best he could, "It's okay. It could've been worse. I'm still here, aren't I? Lets just be thankful he was off by a half an inch. Otherwise, I wouldn't be here."

Carter felt the stitches pull again and stopped trying to talk. Part of his jaw had been replaced with a metal plate, and he hardly had the feeling of touch on his left cheek. He was her silently, holding her hand.
