Rue glanced at Brad before staring back out in front of her silently. The pain in her stomach got intense, so she took a cigarette from one of the new packs and lit it, taking a long drag.

Brad hurried up to his room and cleaned out his things, nervous that Derek would go after him again. He filled a backpack, then went back downstairs and went outside again, leaving.

Rue raised an eyebrow, watching him leave. She breathed out of her nose, the smoke clouding around her face.

Brad looked at Rue and said quietly, "Bye." He left to his car, then drove off.

Rue blinked and waved slightly as he left, a look of confusion on her face. She sighed quietly and took another quick drag, glancing around before standing up and walking around aimlessly in the grassy yard.

Rue tapped on the cigarette lightly with one of her fingers, watching the ashes sprinkle onto the grass.

Rue sighed quietly and walked inside. She looked at Derek oddly, seeing that he was passed out on the couch. She went into the kitchen and sat down in one of the chairs, running her hand over the smooth surface of the counter top before taking another drag of her cigarette. After several minutes the cigarette burned out, so she just dropped it in the trash can next her. She rested her elbow on the counter top, resting her head in her hand lightly. She closed her eyes, feeling her heart pounding in her head.

After a few minutes, Kyle walked up and knocked his nuckle on the door.

Rue glanced over her shoulder toward the door, and sighed quietly. She got up and rubbed her temples before opening the door slowly. "Hey." She said in her quiet voice.

Kyle grinned widely and held up a wad of cash. "Wanna go do something?"

Rue's eyes widened a bit as she saw the money. "Woah.." She glanced back at the couch, where Derek was lying motionless. "Alright." She smiled crookedly.

Kyle was still grinning, "Okay, come on." He hurried away from the door.

Rue just shook her head and stepped outside, shutting the door behind her. She followed, "Derek's too stoned to do anything anyways," She said simply, walking beside him.

Kyle sniffed the money, then held it out to her and asked, "What do you smell?"

"Yes, actually. Thank you for noticing," he smiled. He was oddly cheerful at the moment.

"Made a deal with a guy. I'm making money now," he sniffed it again. Kyle smiled and commented, "It smells like strippers."

Rue's face went blank and she paused. After a moment she grinned again and commented, "And, how would you know what strippers smell like?"

Rue raised an eyebrow, then leaned over and experimentally sniffed it. She wrinkled her nose and leaned away from it quickly. "It smells like cheap freaking perfume to me. Is that what strippers smell like?"
