Santanta saw her fall and burst out laughing. He ran over to her and said, "Did you trip over your own feet?"

"No!" Crystal lied, then let her back end flop down so that she was laying on her stomach. "You ruined my concentration!" Suddenly she realized something and flew to her feet. "We forgot the crystals!" She gasped.

Santanta flicked his ears and said, "Alright well... I'll go back and get them, I guess."

Crystal bolted back towards the cave, calling back at him, "Not if I get there first!"

Santanta laughed and ran after her.

After a few moments of running, she asked, "Um... Where is it, again...?"

Santanta laughed and ran in front of her. He ran toward the cave, "Just follow me."

"But then you'll beat me there!" She whined, and picked up her pace until she was next to Santanta.

Santanta took a sharp turn and stopped, the cave in sight, "No I wont." He faked an injury, "OW! I stepped on a thorn!" He started biting at his paw, as if there really was a thorn.

Crystal skid to a stop and looked at him suspiciously. She glanced at the cave, then Santanta, then at the cave again. She crept towards him slowly, an eyebrow raised. "Did you......?"

Santanta kept nipping at his paw and didn't reply. He started chewing at the pad of his paw, still acting like there was a thorn.

Crystal, still suspicious, tackled Santanta and pinned him down.

Santanta looked at her suddenly and asked, "Are you going to get the crystal's?"

After I see your thorn." She says sarcastically, and begins to inspect Santanta's paws.

He looked at his paw and said, "I GOT IT! See, no thorn any more."

"OKAY!" Crystal exclaimed, then leaps off of him, grinning. She dashes towards the cave.

Santanta grinned and followed behind her, picking up two of the crystals.

Crystal tried to stop to pick up her maroon crystal, but she ended up sliding across the ground as if it were ice, falling into the dark cave. She yelped in surprise.

Santanta laughed, "Come on." He looked into the cave, waiting for her to come back out.

Crystal stumbled out of the cave and fell on her stomach in front of the crystal. Dust puffed into the air when she fell, and her fur was covered with it. She coughed and snatched up the gem in her mouth, then got up quickly, shaking herself off.

Santanta turned and started to head back again, "Are you coming?"

"Yeth..." She mumbled, the crystal muffling her words. Crystal padded after him.

Crystal trotted to his side, then matched Santanta's pace. She sighed and looked around.
