Carter shrugged, "Alright then." He sighed and leaned his head back on the couch tiredly.

Flash sits up and rubs his shoulders lightly.

"Carter," Flash whispers her hands continuing their job.

"Why haven't you even tried yet," Flash asks.

Carter looked at her oddly, then shrugged, "I don't know."

Flash sits on his lap and puts her head on her chest. "I can understand if your afraid of loosing me. But I'm not going anywhere in the future that I see," She whispers.

Carter put his hand on her back and shook his head, unsure what to say.

Flash sighs quietly and shuts her eyes, putting her weight on him.

Carter rubbed her back and watched the tv.

Flash curls up in his lap and yawns, close to falling asleep.

Carter continued rubbing her back, yawned, and watched the tv.

Flash opens her eyes slightly. "I think we should go to bed," She whispers.

Flash get up slowly and yawns, slouching her way up the stairs.

Flash gets into his room and changes slowly.

Carter fell onto his bed and fell asleep almost instantly.

Flash lays down beside him, and curls up. "Your over working yourself," She mumbles, and falls asleep.

Carter woke up as little rays of sunlight poured through the window. His phone rang and he answered it quickly before it'd wake up Flash. "Hello?" was all he could say before he listened to the voice yelling on the other end.

Flash curls up tighter, reaching for Carter.

Carter sat up and rubbed his temple, listening to the yelling. He said quietly, "Alright. I'll be there." He got up slowly and went to grab his uniform, having to go into work again.

Flash opens her eyes slowly, and watches him. "Their over working you," She whispers, and pulls the blanket around her, her blue eyes dull.

Carter looked over his shoulder at Flash and nodded, "I know. But I can't exactly tell them no." He grabbed his uniform and went into the bathroom, closing the door and taking a shower.
