Carter laid Dylan down on the couch, then put his arm around Flash.

Carter pulled her closer to him so that she was leaning on him, then kissed the top of her head.

Carter rest his head on her and said, "I have to go to work soon."

Flash pouts and hugs him tightly. "Okay. I'll be here when you get back," She replies and kisses him.

Carter nodded and got up, heading to his room to get ready.

Flash watches quietly, and folds her knees, playing with her hair.She gets up slowly, and sighs, looking around. Shadows walks up the the door, and knocks loudly. Flash glances at the door, debating to open it, just in case it was Morna.

Carter heard the door, now dressed in his uniform, and headed downstairs. He walked to the door and opened it.

Flash looks around Carter and flinches. "Out of my way, boy," Shadows says calmly, and narrows his eyes slightly. Flash appears behind Carter, and shakes her head. "I have nothing to say to you. You might as well leave," She whispers.

Carter stayed in front of Flash, closing the door by a few more inches, and said, "I would advise you to leave."

Shadows puts his foot in the door, and narrows his eyes. "If I wish to talk to my daughter, you best not get in my way again, Carter Andrew," He growls, and grabs Flash quickly, pulling her outside. Flash yelps, but follows. "If I get a bruise," She grumbles.

Carter narrowed his eyes, "If you leave one mark on her, you'll never see the outside of a jail cell again. And she isn't your daughter anymore, if you don't recall signing those papers."

"I've been in jail before, Andrew. It's not much of a problem to get out," Shadows replies, and tightens his grip on Flash. "Don't you dare, disobey me again. Next time you do, it'll be worse than this," He growls.

Flash growls quietly. "I don't have to listen to you anymore, Shadows. I was disowned remember," She whispers, and yanks her arms away.

Flash runs over, and grabs his arm quickly, glaring at Shadows, until he leaves.

Flash shakes her head. "It's not worth it, Carter," She whispers. Shadows disappears around the corner.

"I don't know. The last order I got, was to keep an eye out for one of his enemies, then when he came, I was to off him," She whispers, and shakes her head. "I don't know if he's even in town," She whispers.

"Forget about it, then. You don't have to do anything he tells you to." Carter took her arm gently,and looked for any bruising.
