Flash nods, and gets up, walking over to Dylan. "We're going to talk about you giving my son sweets," She smiles, and kisses Dylan's forehead. Donovan studies the side of the house quietly.

"That baby food is sickening," he said defensively. He hurried to the door and opened it, looking at Donovan. "Uh, can I help you?"

Donovan looks at Carter. "Is your boss here," He asks calmly, thinking Carter was one of the butlers or maids or something classy like that. Flash smiles, and feeds Dylan, after choosing the one she liked.

"My boss, lives on main street. Who are you?" he asked quickly.

"Donovan," He replies calmly. Flash picks up Dylan, and walks toward the door. "It's choosing the right-" She stops, recognizing Donovan from a photo she had seen when she was thirteen.

Carter, keeping a straight face, asked, "What do you want, Donovan?"

Donovan looks at Flash calmly. "I presume you know why I'm here, Mary," He says calmly, ignoring Carter. Flash regains her composure and glares at him. "That doesn't mean it's going to happen," She growls.

Carter looked at Flash, then at Donovan again and said quickly, "Are you going to answer me?"

Flash sighs quietly and looks at Carter. "Carter, this is the guy I was just talking to you about," She whispers. "And you were promised to me, Mary," Donovan says calmly.

Carter's face went flat and he closed the front door on Donovan.

Donovan frowns, and puts his foot in the door. Flash leans against Carter quickly, shutting her eyes.

Carter opened the door and glared at Donovan, "Get your foot out of the door."

"I have every right to speak with my soon-to-be wife," Donovan replies. Flash glares at him. "I'm not your soon-to-be anything. Now leave."

Carter glared at him, "You have no right to talk to her. Because she's my soon-to-be wife, not yours." He looked at Flash, expecting her to play along, "Right, honey?"

Flash nods, and presses herself against Carter's side, hiding her confusion. "Right," She smiles. "I doubt it," Donovan replies. "Where's the ring than," He asks.

Carter reached into his pocket and pulled out a small round object, smiling and handing it to Flash. "It's right here. She wasn't wearing it because she was cooking and didn't want to ruin it."

Flash takes it quickly, putting it around her pinkie. "Sure," Donovan replies, and starts to walk off.

Carter narrowed his eyes and closed the door, flipping the lock up on it.

Flash pulls the object off her finger, and studies it. "I'm glad I didn't try and put it on my ring finger," She says calmly, and tosses it at him.

Carter caught it and put it back in his pocket. He looked at her for a moment, his face empty of emotion.

Flash glances down, and away from him, playing with her hair again.

Carter mumbled, figuring he should tell her now, "I'm going to get Dylan's last name changed to mine tomorrow."

Flash smiles. "I'd rather him have your last name in all honesty," She whispers.

Flash rushes over and hugs him tightly, shutting her eyes. "Your the best boyfriend I could ever ask for," She whispers.
