Santanta started to fall asleep. The raccoon hopped off the top of the cove, behind Crystal, and bit her tail before jumping out of reach, hissing angrily.

Crystal yelped loudly jumping up and looking back at the raccoon in shock. She growled at it.

Santanta sat up quickly, confused. "What?" The raccoon snickered and hurried off. Santanta watched it run off. "What was that about?"

Santanta looked after where the raccoon had left to, and said, "Well, if it comes back, bite it."

Santanta moved closer to Crystal and licked her shoulder. Kvothe saw them laying under the cove and his ears flicked back quickly. He watched from the bushes far off, using the cover of nightfall to hide himself.

Crystal licked his muzzle before looking up at the stars silently. "This reminds me of the first night I brought you here." She smiled.

Santanta watched Crystal as she spoke, then grinned and teased, "I still remember you said your sister use to call you, deer poop? Or something like that."

Crystal frowned slightly. "Yeah..." She looked down at her paws. "I don't even know where she is now."

"Where ever she is, I'm sure she's fine," Santanta tried to reassure her. Kvothe walked quietly to a different spot, watching them.

Crystal looked at him oddly. "Who ever said that I was worried?" She grinned.

Santanta returned the odd look, "You're glad that your sister is missing?"

Crystal shook her head. "I didn't say I was glad. I'm just not that worried about her." After a few moments she perked her ears, thinking she heard something.

"Oh," he said simply, glancing around. Kvothe smiled friendly and walked from the bushes toward them, "Hi."

Santanta stood up as Kvothe walked toward them. Kvothe walked up to them and sat down, "What are you guys doing?"
