Crystal sat up, putting a paw over her necklace that was lying on the floor. "And... We shouldn't keep secrets from each other, right...?"

Santanta's voice quieted considerably, and he knew there was only one right answer to this question. Not sure exactly where this conversation was going, he questioned , "Did I do something?"

Crystal flicked your ears back. "Are you sure?" Then she added, "I'm not mad at you or anything... I'm just curious. You can tell me..."

"What kind of secrets do you think I'm hiding from you?" He questioned quickly.

Crystal shrugged. "Anything, really. Things of your past, your family... I don't know..." Then she added, "I'll tell you anything you need to know, if you want... I don't want to keep anymore secrets from you..."

When she asked about his family, his past, that struck a nerve. His voice was slower now, "So, you want to know about my past... There's nothing important to know about it."

Crystal narrowed her eyes slightly. "Not according to Cyclone." She said almost sharply, then immediately regretted it. She winced slightly.

Normally, something like that would make him lash out in fury. His chest burned with the memory of the past. His voice was cold and emotionless, "Alright then. What is it that you want to know about my family. What is it that Cyclone made you curious about my past with?"

Crystal blinked slowly. She didn't know exactly what she was looking for. Cyclone had mainly just made her paranoid about it. "Your... Dad..." She says quietly.

Santanta spoke in his naturally calm voice now. "My dad? I don't know much about him. He's dead now. He died a few days after I was born. His name was Silver, but they called him Ace. That's where I got my birth name from. Though, he called me 'Santanta' those few days before he died, or so I was told. I use to always get compared to him, even though I don't remember anything about him. He died protecting my mom, Ama, and me from a female that wanted my mother dead. But while fighting her off, others had appeared and they killed him. That's all I know." He sighed then continued, "Is there anything else you'd like to know about? I have nothing to hide from you."

Crystal listened curiously then asked, "Cyclone talked about someone named Griffon... And he was the one who had attacked you... Who is he?"

Santanta thought about this one for a moment. "Griffon is complicated. He was one of my fathers enemies. After my mom died, I spent more time with Griffon than I should have. It was almost as if he was trying to become my mentor. Then he wanted me to start doing his dirty work for him, as an assassin. When I refused, he then said He wanted me to be his number 2; which is like a beta for a pack, except we weren't a pack. I refused again, and that's when he turned against me and started using me as a piece of his game; that's what other wolves lives are to him, just a game for him to play. Now he keeps trying to kill me, but considering I'm still alive, I'm not sure if he's actually trying to kill me, or trying to get me to go back to him." He paused in the story, looking around oddly, then as his eyes returned to Crystal, he continued, "And if I've learned anything from growing up, fear can make someone do even the stupidest of things."

Santanta had to think about this for a moment. "Well, she was like a mom. She got along really well with almost everyone. She was also really good and talking her way out of situations. She didn't judge anyone, and for what I can remember, she seemed like the kind of wolf to avoid conflict." He sat back down.

Crystal thought for a moment. "Well... I don't remember that much, honestly. But they were both really nice. And caring. My dad was... Well... He had a bit of a temper though. He was really defensive and controlling, sometimes. My mom was a little different though. She was into healing, like me. She taught me a few things before she was killed. My dad was more of the strong and silent type, more into being a warrior or something like that. I was actually kind of surprised that they were together."
